Time for Art

I feel like my art has been mostly on the back burner since I've had kids...which is as it should be...but the kids are all growing up so I'm feeling a pull back to illustrating. Hoping to do great things this year!

Hello blog... Long time, no blog.

Just had an "aha" moment I wanted to write down...so I have recently renewed my interest in linguistics and had checked out a lecture series from the library about the history of English...so I have linguistics on my mind. Then today the terrorist attack in Paris happened and a friend of mine had changed his profile pic to say "JE SUIS CHARLIE" in support of the French and journalism, etc.

Anyway...the "JE SUIS" jumped out at me--I've studied French since high school and I can't believe I've never made this observation before: what does JE SUIS look very similar to? JESUS. And what is another name/title for Jesus? I AM. What does JE SUIS mean? It means I AM!!!!!!!

How cool is that? I don't believe those things are mere coincidence.

Ok, heard the latest news and Bill Cosby actually is a creep. And that makes me terribly sad!
