This photo is a few weeks old already--we went up to Mt St Helens with our friends John & Wendy Bennion & their 4 kids. We bumped into some other friends from our ward there too--Tom Farnsworth, his dad & 2 of his 4 kids. This is down inside Ape Cave, where it's quite chilly, hence the bundled appearance in the middle of summer.

Harry Potter

So I just finished reading Harry Potter last night...WOW! What a great end to a great series. I'm sad it's over but I'm so excited to rediscover the books all over again in a few years when the boys are old enough to enjoy them. George is listening to book 7 on the audiobook set, which we were happily amazed to discover was released same day as the book.

Ok, and here's just a silly Carol thing... I thought it was appropriate that book 7 had a YELLOW cover. : )

Cold, wet wake-up call

So I was comfortably dozing in bed a few mornings ago, relishing the extra sleep Benno was allowing me, when Christopher, aka "Bub," was thoughtful enough to bring me a full glass of water. He set the glass upon my pillow, and of course, the glass tipped...HELLO, COLD WATER!!! On my head and down my back...what a way to wake up. Couldn't be angry with the little guy though...he had the best of intentions. So much for the extra sleep.

Definitely one for the Mommy Files.
